Yield: 1 Cup

2tsOil
1cDried red chilies
1/2cSplit black beans
1/2cSplit yellow peas
1/4cSesame seeds
1tsAsafoetida
2tsGround jaggery
1 1" piece of tamarind

Heat oil and fry chilies until lightly browned. Dry roast split beans, split peas, sesame seeds and asafoetida until lightly colored. Grind all ingredients to a fine powder. Add salt to taste.
